Remove Honeywell PDT from box along with USB Cable and Battery
Ensure Honeywell Battery is installed by sliding the Lock clip on the back of the Honeywell to the unlocked position and removing the back cover.
Install the Battery with contacts side first and pressing down to make sure it is seated correclt.
Replace the back cover and slide the Lock clip back to the locked position.
Plug the Honeywell in using the cable supplied.
Hold down the Power button until te Honeywell powers on.
You will be presented with options on which language and location you would like to use.
Select English and then scroll down to find Australia.
Press Next all the way through to the home screen.
If prompted connect to your Wireless network.
If not prompted swipe down from the top of the screen to reveal options for connections
Select the Wifi icon and select the required network.
Once connected to a wifi network, return to the home screen.
Here you will need to create or log in to a Google account to access Google Play Store to download Teamviewer Quick Support.
Once Google account has been created/logged in open Play store and search for Teamviewer Quicksupport.
Install this and choose all defaults.
Launch Teamviewer QS for the first time to make sure it brings up an ID and Password.
Return to the home screen
If you have already plugged your PDT into your PC via the USB Cable follow the steps below:
Ensure USB for File Transfer is enabled:
Swipe down from the top of the screen
Then Swipe down the top box
Select the Settings Cog
Select the "Connected Devices"
Press the USB option
Select the "File Transfer" option
Once you see the device in windows file explorer.
Open the Connected device to the Directory This PC/EDA51/Internal Shared Storage/Download.
In another Windows Explorer open the Samford Software Folder:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Samford Software\BackOffice
and search for the file "com.swiftpos.management.apk"
Copy from this folder and paste into the PDT folder
Once you have copied the file onto the PDT Device, find and select the File Manager app. Then go to the downloads folder and confirm the APK file exists.
Click on the APK file and select INSTALL.
Follow the prompts.
Once the install is complete Management App will be available on the device.
Open the Management App
Enter your API URL. by going into the settings at the top right.
Press Back
Log in using your Clerk login to the SwiftPOS Back Office.
Select the About option
Enter the Device Name (something relevant to the site))
Press "Register Device"
Once Registered go back to SwiftPOS Menu and select Settings.
The following Screen will come up- select the options relevant to the site.
Press Reload Data.
Your PDT is now ready to use.
