Connecting to a Network

Setting up a Honeywell Wi-Fi connection has the same procedure as connecting an android phone to a Wi-Fi signal. 

  1. Turn on device. 

  2. Go into Settings on the device. 

  3. In “Wireless & Networks” press Wi-Fi

  4. Enter in password on desired Network. 



Things to note.

  • All Honeywell devices that are supplied by HDS should have two applications installed, those being SwiftPOS Stock management  and TeamViewer, if these applications are not on the Honeywell, please contact support@harrisdata.com.au or call 0412 041 222

Starting a Stock Take   


  1. Ensure your are logged out of the SwiftPOS Stock Management app, 

  2. Log in using your designated clerk I.D and password

  3. Select the “Settings” icon in the main menu


  4. Press Reload Data - this should only take a few seconds) then press ok

  5. Message Should Appear as below (Press OK)

  6. Go back to the Main Menu by pressing the 3 lines at the top left

  7. Select the tab “New Movement”

  8. In the “New Movement” tab Select Stocktake

  9. “Reference” this where you can give it a title or a number (eg STKNov2023)


  1. “Select Location” Choose the location you are performing the count in and then Press Create.

  2. This will prompt the following Question:

To lock the Stock in the Back Office, Press Yes.
To leave the location unlocked and lock at a later in the back office press No


  1. This will launch into where you scan products in the “Barcode” section.


  1. Enter the amount of counted items into the “Quantity” section


  1. After you fill out the “Barcode” and “Quantity” either press the add button to the side of the screen or enter (Green circle with a tick) key found on the keypad


**The “Match” button is used when the barcode hasn’t been added to the product in the system, hit this button and you will be able to search for the product that you want this barcode to be attached to the said product. 

**The “Clear” button is used to clear the entered in barcode or quantity before being added to the stocktake. 

**The “History” button is used to view what’s in the stocktake before committing it so you can make the changes needed. 



  1. Once you have completed your count you will need to upload the results to SwiftPOS

**When committing a stocktake from the PDT to SwiftPOS Back Office you must ALWAYS export it, this means if something does go wrong there is a backup of it. 

**This back up is stored in /storage/emulated/0/Download/, this is found in the Files App/File Manager on the Honeywell Android Device.
The Files App/File Manager can be found by going to the home screen of the Honeywell Android Device and swiping up from the Bottom.
Select the File Manager and then Select the the above folder location


  1. To Export the file make your way to the main menu by either clicking the Back Arrow or the Burger option (3 lines at the top left)

  2. Select ´In progress

  3. Select the first count entry and then select Export.


  1. After the Export is complete, press ok

  2. Now you can “Submit” the stocktake files to SwiftPOS


  1. The next steps are done on a computers Back Office, not on the Honeywell 


  1. On Back office in the Inventory tab click Stocktake & Period End

Before committing, please check if you need to print any reports prior to committing the stocktake 

  1. Also, this is the last time you can check and make sure before committing the Stocktake 

  2. If the stocktake was submitted correctly from the Honeywell, it will be sitting in back office waiting for further action.
